Quick thoughts on Boldin, Hill, Spencer
Posted by ESPN.com's Mike Sando RENTON, Wash. -- Quick thoughts on three NFC West players affected by what happened on the first day of the 2009 NFL draft: Anquan Boldin,Germany Euro Shirts, Cardinals: The veteran trade market wasn't a factor. It's looking like Boldin will be back with the Cardinals, without increased leverage for a new deal. Chris Spencer, euro shirts, Seahawks: The 2005 first-round choice is entering the final year of his contract. Seattle drafted Oregon center Max Unger in the second round. Unless he suddenly steps up, it's looking like the beginning of the end for Spencer in Seattle. Leroy Hill, euro shirt, Seahawks: His leverage in contract negotiations took a hit when the Seahawks drafted Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry fourth overall. Hill hasn't signed the one-year offer Seattle made in naming him its franchise player. Rules allow Seattle to withdraw the franchise tag if Hill does not sign the one-year offer. Will it come to that?
